How I did it: First I started doing a Masters on the area I wanted to work on.
I quit my old job after gathering some money to live on, while looking for something else and completing my Masters.
When I finished the degree I sent a CV to every consultancy company I found online (almost 100) and to every Faculty in th country (I lost count...).
I got answers 1 month later and now I have 2 jobs I really like. Read how I did it… 3 years ago

I am a very creative person and I like to work with my hands. However as I get older I want a job that is still creative and yet less physical. So I have been writing and doing voice over work but they don’t bring in any money at this time. So now I just need another job that will pay the rent. I just get tired. 3 years ago

I got some funding that can work as a wage subsidy and help me get a good job in my field.
Here’s hoping with my fingers and toes crossed that I can hold on while I do crappy temp jobs and make this work! 4 years ago

When you dread getting up in the morning and hope that a bout of the flu is heading your way. It is time to get anew job. Easier said than done especially if you have a mortgage or a child or a number of other factors. First try and thing what would interest you enough to WANT to get up at 4 am or so you would miss that episode of your fave show just to work. a job you like is not a job..its a hobby, its an interest you have. I have managed to find my perfect job and although it doesnt pay as much as I would like..that’s just tough becasue I wanted to take the pay cut becasue I wanted to majke a difference. It is worth the wait and I suggest you keep thinking positive. If you are not happy at work you will take this home with you and it will ultimately affect your home and personal life.
