teach sunday school

I taught Sunday school 2 weeks ago for my new church. I think I’m going to be okay again because I am now planning once again what tools would help me teach better next time. I’m now in the monthly rotation.

I started teaching Sunday School (CCD) this year. I teach 4th graders. It’s been such a rewarding experience. I love that I have the freedom to teach them in my own way. For example, when covering “Sin” we played a game called “Survivor: Temptation Island.” The kids were in tribes and had to compete in various bible-based activities based on sin. It was fun and they learned a lot!

If I can reach only one of them, I’ll be happy!

during 2006, I taught the Kindy to Year 2 group at our church.
It’s super-duper! The kids are great, and it’s awesome to see them learning about who God is.

So, I’m going to keep going this year, with the same group. I’ll miss the kiddies who are in Year 3 this year, and the ones who have moved away. But I’ll have fun with the other kids…

being able to teach children about the lord is truly a gift that I was given.
