Richabhake is making a to-do list
How I did it: I took up the language while pursuing my Masters. I could have joined a language school otherwise. My teacher was very good and he taught us the basic conversation. But thereafter, i lost all touch with chinese as i never interacted with the chinese, and stoved my books in the attic Read how I did it…

..nine euro on a learn conversational french book! On page ten i have learnt the phrase “Pourquoi pas inviter Fabien et sa copine?” which means; why not invite Fabien and his girlfriend? Heres hoping i meet someone called fabien, and that i have something to invite him to!
I improved my language skills in Russian since I live here for more than 6 months. Next step I want to learn German and Spanish.

how cool would it be to be able to take part in easy conversation with people in a foriegn country? I have a smattering of juvenile french and literaly a few words of Italian. This will take effort and commitment. i think it will be Italian for me. going to drive Route66 in march. When i get back I will start on a linguaphone italian course. Will but it next week. Do it, do it do it!
I figure it’ll be spanish simply because it’s part of my heritage, it’s practical, living in cali and all and somebody I know said she gets hot when I speak what little spanish I know heh heh. But I’d also like to learn Gaelic/Irish since that’s part of my heritage as well and it just sounds like a beautiful language.
For practicality reasons, I would think Spanish or even Chinese would make sense, but those don’t especially appeal to me. Maybe German? Its not the prettiest sounding language, but I loved Germany. I would love to go back there, and to Switzerland and Austria, so German might come in handy.
