become an Italian citizen

Becoming an italian citizen is just going to give me a new life,because when i was in italy,i found life more pleasing to live in and more better for me especially for someone like me who my people want to force to become an idol worshipper at all cost.

I want to acquire my EU citizenship and maybe my only chance of doing that is applying for italian citizenship. My great grandfather was from Italy and then moved to Canada where he became a Canadian citizen through naturalization. How can i find out if i qualify for Italian citizenship?

Ever since I studied in Italy I heard about getting Italian citizenship through ancestry and wanted to see if I would qualify. Every time I looked into it though the whole process just seemed way too complicated. I always meant to get around to it but never did.

Then, I got an awesome roommate who is into genealogy and started the process by finding out that I am eligible due to the timeline of my great grandparents getting naturalized and my grandfather being born. I have since started ordering all the documents that I need to prove my lineage. Once I have everything I will send the application for my citizenship. I figure it should take another month or so to have all the documents.

This is beyond exciting! Not only will I have Italian citizenship but EU citizenship!

my father is eligible for Italian citizenship due to the fact that his father was an Italian citizen. once he gets his citizenship, my brother and i can claim ours as well.

I have found out that I can become an Italian citizen by ancestry. My Great Great Grandfather was born in Italy so I am looking into the paperwork to become a Legal citizen.
