How I did it: I have been wanting a frenchie for several years. I'm finally at a point in my life where I can handle complete responsibility of a dog, so I started looking in to getting one. I wanted to adopt one so I looked at FBRN and started checking petfinder.com/adoptapet.com. I set up some alerts on those sites and a week later, I was notified one was at a local shelter. I went that day to see her but when I went to put a hold on her, there already was one. I decided to put a second hold and then a week later I got a phone call that the first hold cancelled and I went and picked her up! She was so dirty and had been neglected, but she is the sweetest and friendliest dog in the world. Now she is clean, healthy, and so happy!
