I am currently sorting out my priorities as part of my give up apathy goal.
I’m not giving up on this goal, I’m just moving it to a separate ‘ Future goals ’ list to achieve in the future, but not to worry about right now when there are more important things I want to achieve. Having a more focused list of goals should benefit me as I can see the goals I should be making progress on right now.

Of course! I don’t need to focus solely on the people I “studied” in the past… I can observe behaviours even now and make comparisons to the ‘gang’!!
I was out with a few friends the other night. I went with some one I’m pretty close to, but it was mostly people I don’t know that well and a fair amount of people I’d never met before. Some stuff that one of them said, I was like, “that is SO typical of our culture”!! Some things I observed I believe was just the epitome of the collision between Western society and this ‘drug subculture’.
I can’t wait to properly get started writing everything up!!

I removed this goal the other day as I was cleaning up my goals a bit, and I didn’t have any big inspiration for this, it was more about how I’d love to have a book that says ‘Holli Youster’ sprawled accross it!!
But as I was on Ru ~ breathe deeper’s goal list I saw that she had a similar goal where she’d actually written entries ~ so I looked out of curiosity! I was amazed at what I found!
A link to a site that publishes your book and can even enable you to sell it in stores and stuff!! I never even knew there was such a thing!!
So I got brainstorming several ideas, and have now thought of an idea for my book!! At first I was thinking things like, what it’s like to be a Christian throughout teen years and things along those lines… but that’s progressed to something rather different now!!
Probably in part to how much Sociology I’m studying at the moment, I’m kind of writing up some covert participant observation that I’ve done in the past. I didn’t intend for it to be that, but the more I hung round with these people, the more patterns in their behaviour and attitudes I couldn’t help noticing! They basically, looking back, were a “drug gang” ~ not of hard drugs, mostly cannabis, which is so common in our society! But in a way, I think focussing on the “less dangerous” drugs at first has a larger impact because if you look at the negative effects of these, well, it’s only left to the imagination what harder drugs can do.
:) I’ve got SO many videos and sound recordings from back then, so I think I’ll analyse lots of these, too. It ended up that I’d been putting myself in a really dangerous situation, so I don’t have any contact with any of the group anymore, meaning I wouldn’t be able to continue any more observation of things with them … I’ll have to see if I have enough information, and I’ll have to make sure it’s all ethically valid too!!
