raise sea monkeys

i can’t find them anywhere after this being on my list for about a year. i’ve kinda lost intrest now anyway, i want to free up my list for better things.

oh, how i remember those ads in the back of my Archie Comics magazine! And eagerly awaiting the arrival of the magic sea-monkeys in the mail…!

I successfully have raised a family of sea monkeys! They’re much bigger than I thought they’d be. My roommate thinks they’re ugly, but I love them- I guess it’s “a face only a mother could love” sort of thing.

My little ones have hatched! They’re tiny, but growing fast. Nice.

I just got my sea monkey kit yesterday. I purified the water, and I just added the eggs today. They should appear in the next several days.

I had some sea monkeys in a big mayo jar, I remember always waiting for them to get big enough so that I could put clothes on them like in the pictures. My little Bother would always wind up killing them one way or another. One time the jar was on top of the fridge and he SLAMMED it and the jar came crashing down and I was trying to scoop up all the tiny mommies, daddies, brothers and sisters but my mom was like, “Let me clean this mess up” OMG! She wasn’t even going to save them! Murderer! I started crying :( My Bother did stuff like that all the time :(
McSmarty found an Executive set and bought it for me on one of his business trips! It had this fancy little tank and all this cool stuff that can with it. We had them for the LONGEST time. When we had our floors done the whole house was in upheaval and I don’t know where the food went. We only had like two left at that point. I we tried to give them fish food but they didn’t eat it.

I was so young then and still believed in magic and I even got a magnifying glass to see if they really looked like the pictures they had on the back of my Archie comics

i changed my mind…. sea monkeys are boring. they all died for no reason and then sombody hatched some eggs and i have more again… but ive completely lost interest.

they’ve hatched and are starting to get all big.
they are actually sort of cute, considering they are brine shrimp.
i guess the trick is to barely ever feed them and pour the tank water into a container and back into a tank a couple times a week to get oxygen into the water. horray!

lets see how long they last.
