Well I am having a plan to sail the world.

How I did it: One weekend my wife said "why don't you just go out and buy that damn boat; at least 'look.'
Well I looked and I first came back with a 60' Hunter (too big and too much) but then a 22' DS Kirby. Which I subsequently bought. W00t
Turns out my wife thought 'just look' would result in a 14' Laser for a grand not a 'sleeps four lets not buy a cottage.'
LOL
Lessons & tips: Do it when the moment feels right; don't overTHINK

Sailed a lot as a kid – would like to get one once I move to Seattle.

Earlier this summer I purchased a 1990 Capri 18 in fabulous condition. I am SO in love with my sweet little boat! Her name is Central Air, and I’m having a blast sailing her this summer and ‘setting up house.’
Sailing ROCKS! And finding the perfect sailboat for you rocks too! :-)

I live so far from any bit of water that could possibly be worth sailing that I’m going to have to let this go.
Thank god the robots have finally made a “giving up” so I can clean up things a bit.
I want to buy and learn to sail a 30-35 foot fiberglass sailboat. I need to learn what to look for in the boat. I can’t afford new so what do I look for that makes a good used boat?
