This entry is a little late, but I lost my cherry Chapstick a few weeks ago. So now it’s down to my Dr.Pepper chapstick.

How to finish a tube of chapstick before losing it

How I did it: Rather than carry one around with me - which is a sure way to get them lost or washed and then melted in the dryer - I put lip balm in every location where I might want to have one available: in the bike bag, in the car, in my bathroom, and at my desk. Every time I saw the chapstick, I would apply it. Lessons & tips: If you're like me, you have lots of spare lip balm around. You buy them at random times when your lips are chapped, like at a cash register. Then you lose or melt them in the dryer.

I’ve realized that the more you pay for a tube of chapstick, the less likely you are to be reckless with it. I’ve got about half a tube left of a $7 chapstick… still goin’ strong.

I’ve managed to find some lip stuff that I’m not allergic to which doesn’t taste too bad and also has a slight gloss! So although it means I have to start this goal again, it’s a nicer goal to be completing =)

I was scooping out the last bits of chapstick from the tube with my pinkie finger nail, so I think I’m done.
I have never had such soft and supple lips during the winter in my life. This has been a totally worthwhile goal.

my favorite, burts bees, doesn’t twist up anymore! but i count this finished when i toss the tube. so it’ll be a week or so before i scoop out what’s left =D

the bottom of the chapstick has always been sooo hard to get to….
the only one i ever ‘finished’ was like 1 centimeter tall and i got half through it, lost it and then found it… eaten by my dog. great
