I’m doing alright, and I am surprised at how much I am making off old books! 14 items down, 60 dollars earned.. heaps more to go!

new eBay listings 7 months ago

I am starting another round of auctions today. The first listing went up this afternoon and I plan to post more tonight. This goal has been delayed for a while because of an unexpected move to a new house.

    Simplify! 7 months ago

There’s a box in the storage closet with knick-knacks I’ve collected over – let’s be honest – my lifetime. If you move a lot like I seem to, you realize that moving is harder the more stuff you have. So, it’s time to part with the stuff that has been in box for the last three years.

Add to this, my grandma has decided to give me a bunch of her junk to “get rid of” as well.

I’m working on getting set up on eBay…I think I’m gonna do an online store. I’ll post the link when it’s up! (How’s that for keeping myself accountable??)

Long Time Coming... 7 months ago

Yeah, this is one I should have tackled long ago. In an effort to get my house clean and keep it that way (one of my other major goals) I had gone through all of our belongings and set aside a major portion of them to be donated or sold. I donated most of it right away, and still continue to gather and donate once every month. It’s quite freeing, but perhaps a little too freeing, since I find myself wanting to get rid of nearly everything I own.

But aside from what I donated, I have more to be sold. These are things that do not belong to me, like my children’s toys, that I do not feel right in simply confiscating. So, they will be sold on Ebay, and then they will get some of the money to use as they please, and some of it will be used to fund their schooling. I have (no kidding) 15 giant leaf bags full of toys in like new condition to be sold.

Lest anyone feel bad for the boys, they chose what was to be sold, and were eagerly pulling things off shelves, and begging to get rid of things. They still think they have too much stuff, and ask regularly if they can get rid of more.

I’m going to take pictures of a few today, and try to get them listed by tomorrow.

The items onto which you clutch dearly must be scrutinized, photographed, catalogued and thrown off the side of your boathouse. Or sold on eBay for minor profit. Don’t sell the anchor!
