get back in church

Since my last post my husband and I have been to church twice now. Once back in the summer and then to a Christmas play a couple weeks ago. I hope that soon we’ll both be able to get into a good church

I still can’t believe that I haven’t already done this! It’s so easy… get up get ready and go. Since I got married in Feb. this goal has became so much more important to me. I want to be in a good church with my husband… and he wants to go too. We’ve both been out for a couple years now and both really want to get back in. Just the devil is finding ways to keep us out. We both said that we were going to go this coming Sunday hopefully nothing gets in our way.

I have finally gotten it through my head that the Heavenly Father isn’t to be compared with our earthly fathers. I have slighted God for years with this kind of thinking and I finally realize how insulting that was. I have asked forgiveness and tried to rearrange my thinking…now to find a church with my schedule??

Yes, God is talking to me… I am sure it’s not near as strong as he could be… but he’s defanitly talking to me. Enough that I sat and cried tonight for a good long time and talked to him about things. I need to get back in church so bad!! _{1 Corinthians 13} He told me to read it.. I did… and it’s exactly what I needed in my life right now. That’d never happened before… but I’m sure glad that I got the Bible out and listened!

I didn’t hear from Brian last night… or this morning.. so I’m guessing that he had a good New Year! Meaning.. .that we didn’t go to church today. It would be so nice if he would go with me.. but this is really something that I’m going to have to do for myself anyways… so why wait around for someone else to go with me! I need to get back into reading my Bible… and get motivated agian!

said that if he doesn’t drink tonight.. (and he hasn’t in 7 days now.. Yay!) that me and him will go to church in the morning! I want to get back in.. and it would be really gr8 if he would go too! Keep your fingers crossed for us both! And I guess that we’ll see what happens!
