I started a hive with my brother in law and with the help of Corwin and Karen from BackYardHive.com. Great fun, but now I’m letting my bro in law take the reins because I have moved.

I got my bees in this week and hived them yesterday! It was so exciting! I’m really looking forward to this and will post pics once I get them onto the computer :) YAY!!!

As a child I used to keep colonies of bees, and harvest honey with my father. I was around the age of 8 and 9 years old then.
Now I would like to do it for myself.
Would like to learn how to begin, which books or manuals to read.

I talked to my dad a little more about it he’s very interested in it as well. He told me to get all the information and that we’d go ahead and order and reserve our bees for the next season. And then we’d go ahead and buy the hive(s)before the year is up. I’m so excited! I can’t wait!!!
