Life is too short to not go and see what else the world offers.

Well in my search, I’ve looked at many of the cities in New Mexico and a few in Illinois. I have been trying to find places that are close to the standard of living here so that I don’t have such a financial burden to carry after just moving. I think my goal is to move the hell out of Oklahoma in the next year or two. I don’t really have any attachments here (nothing holding me back) a few friends but nothing real solid and I just graduated from college so since that was my main reason for being here I can just go now.

And since I’m succeeding at my other goal of minimize my material possessions, the move should be a little easier.

Note to myself: Look into how much it costs to rent one of those moving PODS and how long you can keep them and such.

I feel like I’m never going to get the hell outta here. The standard of living is so low it’s easier to save money, but I think my job is going to have me stay in this state, but at the first chance I get I’m going to ask whether or not I can be transferred. Oklahoma is more like a state I could possibly retire…possibly being the key word but maybe not probably. There is so much to see in this word and Oklahoma doesn’t seem to have much of anything to see or do now that I come to think about it. They (the legislators and officials) could do a lot more to market this state really. I mean they just got the lottery (which kinda sux) and they just approved tattoes. Get on the bandwagon, because things have got to change whether the “holy rollers” and rich folks of this state like it or not.

I moved from Oklahoma (Tulsa and Norman) to Iowa… dudes, you have no idea. There are jobs here. And health care! There’s art!! True, there are oases of culture in Oklahoma, and I’ll always have a soft spot for Norman in my heart. But the quality of living almost anywhere else (save, let’s say, the deep south) is so much better, the scenery is so much more beautiful, and the people so much cooler, that it is worth just about anything to get the f out of there. My sister is the last person from my family stuck there and she’s moving to live with us in Iowa in three weeks!!
