Got Papi? (Papacito) is headed back to Microsoft! :D
Smoking a hookah feels MUCH cleaner and tastier than other forms of smoking tabacco.
I don’t recommend smoking (although I currently do smoke). But smoking a hookah doesn’t even seem like you are smoking at all. It’s more like inhaling some sort of fresh fruit. Because the smoke passes thru water, you don’t feel skanky afterward.
My Peace Corps friends and I frequent an Arab restaurant here in Lima (on Benavides in front of Parque Kennedy). There you can rent a hookah for about $3 including the smoke which lasts about 20 min for a group of 2 or 3 people.
They have apple, pear and other flavors of tobacco.
It’s great.

I’ve been researching hookahs since discussing them with a friend of mine a little while ago. They seem rather interesting and definately worth a try.
I plan on buying one (when I have money to spend again) as I have found I can find them for around 30-40 USD. The prettier, more expensive ones range up into the 100-200 area, but I think I’ll just get a ‘starter’ hookah for now. Maybe once I have decided if it will be a worthy investment or not :)
