Soda just isn’t healthy.
I quit drinking it over a year ago.
The first month was hard, but then the cravings stop &you start losing weight.
Now whenever I even think of drinking soda, I feel really sick.
How I did it: I used to drink probably five or six sodas a day. Hands down, I was a soda addict, and the fact that my family owns numerous Sonic Drive-Ins throughout Oklahoma, where I used to live, did not help kill my addiction but made it stronger instead.
I finally realized that enough was enough and with some motivation from my boyfriend who had quit drinking pop, I quit too. The first month was killer. I would get bad headaches because I was not getting regular soda-intake and I was HELLA craving some Mountain Dew. After the bad cravings and headaches subsided, I had no desire to drink a soda. Thinking about drinking one made me sick to my stomach. Within the first month and a half, I lost 12 pounds JUST from cutting soda out of my diet. I also noticed that I was a lot more energized and could run faster in PE. This was almost two years and ten months ago, and I am still soda-free and will be for the rest of my life. This was the first new-year's resolution I stuck to!
Lessons & tips: That first month can be pretty rough. Don't give in! Take care of your body! You only get one.

I was seriously addicted to soda. After a very painful experience do to drinking soda, I finally stopped my addiction three months ago. I have no desire to ever drink a soda again.
