    Dress skirt 16 months ago

Because I couldn’t buy a ball gown due to lack of money, I’ve sown a wrap skirt of black satin which went well with a figure hugging black velvet top. Basically it is just a circular pattern where you take out the top and add a waistband, ribbons to tie and a few seams. Very effective, but I would suggest using light printed cotton rather than the most heavy satin I could find.

JEAN MINI SKIRTS-OR-REGULAR 3 years ago

Hey omg i am soo excited!i finally did it!
    all ya do is:
    take some old jeans
then cut them like up by the crotch but not tooo close!the where the extra little peice of fabric is cut that off and cut in between the back pockets and the front of the skirt.
Next, you can make it look vintage by taking a needle, unweave a small part of it and pull the strings ww/ the needle
If you want it to be even a lil more vintage then pull some strings from the bottom of it. It looks bohiemian if you wear lets say a white t-shirt (tight fit) and a tan shrug or wrap or w/e u clal it and a big brown belt with something big on the centerpeice like a gold or bronze something.thx!

My mom taught me to sew when I was nine,I love my handmade skirts,it’s so much fun to go through the pattern books and pick out fabric-to both men and women:Sewing is a dying art,try it,it’s a good conversation piece.

Not too hard 4 years ago

Skirts are (in my opinion) one of the easier things to sew. A good place to start. The trickest thing is the waistband.

Yes, I have done this! 4 years ago

Whooo. I did this a while ago, but I’d love helping someone, if I could be of help.
