be more mysterious

I just talk, I don’t withhold any thoughts. If I think it, I probably will say it. I need to stop this as most of the time it gets me into trouble. I want people to wonder what I am thinking.

so, i sort of added this on a whim. and ive decided now that i dont really like it. theres something to be said about being mysterious. but im not really sure exactly what makes someone mysterious or not. and for now this is getting put on a back burner, and im going to make room for new goals.

because when it really comes down to it we are all mysterious, in that we exist…just you gotta be mysterious enough to see that- then-

This is getting harder as my family and I are becoming closer. I feel like I can open up and share things and thoughts with them in a way I couldn’t before.. But I guess it’s a good enough reason to skip the goal, right? ;)

In my teens I was painfully shy and blushed at the slightest thing. to cover this and the fact that I was never in a millions years going to be one of the in-crowd, I decided I’d become mysterious instead.

Quite against school rules,I used dark indigo nail varnish on my nails and wore high-heeled slingbacks. Being a usually good and quiet girl, my teachers just let me and didn’t pull me up like they did with the in-crowd. D’oh!

Going out for the night,I’d wear long dark gloves, huge jewelled rings on my gloved fingers. Make-up was Kohl pencil with blue-black mascara. White lipstick.

Guess you’d say I was a Goth but this was long before the word was invented. 1965. Ha ha.

Result? Still not with the in-crowd plus the girls I’d previously gone around with drifted off.They didn’t get the being mysterious thing.

A year or so later, I’d left school and started work. No need to be mysterious any more.

and I tend to tell people all of my plans, with many details. Sometimes I hate it, cause it gives too much room for butting in. I must keep what’s really important for myself, and only share the joy of success with close people when the plans have already worked.

I’m so damned earnest! My brother used to say, “You tell everything you know, don’t you?!” Well, I sort of do. I do try to listen and draw people out, but I hear a few facts, draw some conclusions (I’m an INTJ, after all) and start talking again. Gack!
