It wasn’t half as bad as I had feared and I actually quite liked it :) I am glad that I shared the bar though as more than half might have been too sickly for me.
However, I’d recommend it as something you can go and tell your friends about. Even if they almost always comment about my suffering arteries now! >.< :)

When I read about this goal in the morning, I thought that’s crazy, who could possibly eat that? But then I read about it in the internet, and found a receipe about how to make it, so I said why not? And so I did and mmmmmm….it’s so delicious, I regret that I only made one.

A bit much, really. 2 years ago

Bakewell, Derbyshire. Rolling hills, the heart of the Peak District, campers and walkers galore, a beautiful wier, river home to beautiful fish, and a chippy that does fried mars bars…......
Shared one with a friend, and two bites was enough. Wasn’t brilliant, wasn’t awful. It was his 80p…....... It was alright – it was all soggy and very sugary. A bit much, really.

That was sooooo good. We trudged through the below zero snowiness to Belgian Fries and I bought one for each of us. Melty warm chocolaty & caramel yumminess served with whipped cream and raspberry syrup drizzled on the top. An uber sweet sugar kick. Not something I plan to eat every day, but… wow.

Warm, greasy, and chocolatey! 3 years ago

I had mine along with a deep-fried Snickers bar at Wingnuts on Main Street in Vancouver. The Mars beats the Snickers in terms of texture.

And I know where they have them too: Belgian Fries at 1885 Commercial Drive. It’s within walking distance, which is good. I think there should be walking involved afterwards.

“After all those fries, burgers and drinks, you’ll want to end your meal with the dessert to end all desserts. The legendary deep-fried Mars bar is a deep-fried chocolate bar served with raspberry sauce and whipped cream. The dessert, which was first reportedly sold in Scotland, can’t be found in many restaurants. It’s a decadent treat that’s sure to fulfill your sweet tooth. So, stop counting those calories and succumb to the mouth-watering aromas of Belgian Fries.”

    Bring it on.
