Work hard selling online to raise funds for a February trip to Key West

I listed and sold quite a few books (although I spent more of the money than I should have instead of saving it for Key West, but I should have $100-$200 to contribute to the walking-around-money fund by the time we leave town. The main thing I should have done probably was to list more auctions since they have more overall potential, but they also take more time than the quick Amazon/Half.com book listings, and I am glad I spent some time going through and updating the old listings because I always seem to sell several books as soon as I do that.

Anyway, I tried! Back to selling when I get back, in the meantime I can move this goal to “done.”

I haven’t gotten as much stuff listed as I’d have liked but on the other hand I’ve done a better than usual job of hanging onto the money coming in, so I should be able to kick in $200 or so toward spending money on the trip….i still have a week so we’ll see…

And will probably have about $150-$200 to contribute to the vacation account by the end of this week. I haven’t listed any Ebay auctions yet-I need to get on that-but I think the total will go up dramatically once I do some more ebaying. Still I’m ecstatic with how well just selling for fixed price on Amazon and Half the last couple of weeks has been going.

Just received email from our friends that we are planning this trip with. The reservations are in! We are definitely going from Feb. 14-23 so I definitely need to get crackin’ with the selling!

Went through and listed the sellable contents of two boxes of books a friend was getting rid of. Mostly low dollar items but a few “finds” in there, which is good. Several have sold since I listed them earlier today. Post office run in the morning, yay!

Now I need to find my battery charger so I can charge my camera batteries, so I can take some photos so I can write some Ebay auctions so I can list some auctions so I can sell some stuff so I can make some money….

I listed a load of recent digital photography books passed on by a friend. Now they just have to sell!

My partner and I have decided to take a trip with another couple (friends of ours) to Key West in late February. We didn’t do anything big for our 10th anniversary last year so this is going to be it. We will be staying in a fabulous little cottage and it will be awesome, but we need to put some money aside for it. I’m going to cut way down on my discretionary spending between now and then, and also try to put a push on selling stuff. I have a big backlog of things to list on Ebay to get them out of the house and making some money for me. I’m going to try to spend some time on this each day and also not buy anything on Ebay at the same time so I have income to contribute to our trip. I’m so excited about it!
