write more short stories

That’s all I need. Truthfully, they sound like excuses, but that’s all I need. More time and more ideas.

Maybe I need to get a little bit more organized. I come up with ideas for short stories when I’m in the weirdest places, so I can’t even write down my thoughts. Or I become inspired when I’m standing in line at the check-out in a store, but I cannot rush home and hop on my computer to start typing away.

Maybe I need to be a little bit more time efficient. I waste my time, all the time. If I were wiser, I would be using the extra time I had to be writing my goofy stories instead of playing Sudoku.

Maybe I’m taking the steps in the right direction. I’m admitting that I need to be more organized, and little be more wise. So maybe I am heading in the right direction. Or maybe this could all be another excuse.

Writing is something that i love to do.that’s actually my favorite subject in school.all the other subjects are planned and you have to do the same thing over and over to get the right answer.when i write there is no right answer and i can write about anything.thats why i like it. nobody can tell me that i wrote the wrong thing because i’m the only person that can say that about my work.also i take pride in what i write. sure, if people don’t like what i write then that kinda sucks. but as long as i like it thats all that matters,right?

I have written one short story that was not weird and freakish (Most of my short stories are really weird and strang). It was a sad story and it made two of my friends cry, though I must admit I am not all that prouf of it, I think that it lacks somthing, though I dont know what, but either way I wrote it and am proud of it. I just think that NOvels are going to be more my thing than short stories. Short stories dont seem to flow into my head as easy as Novel stories do. But they are still great to write

I just need to do it more.

Before I can publish a novel, I have to be able to publish short stories in fiction magazines in order to build up my publishing resume. And I really much get more sample copies of these magazines if I actually want to have any success with them! I put off writing because I don’t want to waste my time writing when I don’t know exactly what magazine I’m writing for, and since I’ve only ever seen one fiction magazine, my choices are slim.I need to see more samples and analyze more markets.I recently bought a subscription to Fantasy and Scirence fiction magazine so that’s a start,as a good portion of my storries are fantasy or sci-fi oriented in one way or another

I wrote a very short story (maybe one page, maybe a little over) on Friday. I meant it to be deep and emotional. Instead it turned into sex. My imagination disobeys me lately… However, I’m thrilled I wrote anything at all. It’s been difficult for me to create lately.

It’s been almost a year since I as much as completed a draft. Arrrrrgh.
