Our local pool is 4½ metres deep, and I can easily get to the bottom.
It’s not really deep, but the thought of blacking out haunts me – I should join a group and do it safely.

Dannyel Morell is thinking about his new year's resolutions. Lots to think about.
Since I can remember myself, I always enjoyed holding my breath when I was a kid. I could hold my breath for almost a minute and I was very proud of it. When I was 8 my grandfather tried to teach me to swim and I could not coordinate between when to inhale and when to exhale – I would always get chocked because of the water. So then I decided to give up and just swim underwater. I used to swim a whole pool underwater take a breath and then swim another pool.
It’s been 4 years now I wanted to take it to the next level and do a free dive course, and yesterday I finally did it.
After the two days course I can now hold my breath for more than 2 minutes and I went down to a depth of 19.3 meters!
This course taught me a lot about myself.
It was very fun and I recommend it to everyone who love water and want to explore new horizons.
i’ve always enjoyed holding my breath. through tunnles, passing graves, lol, or just swimming. i’ve been training for a few months now and my personal best for land breath hold is 5 minutes. my pb for exhale breath hold is 1 minute! which by the way i just got today :-). if only someone around my area is intrested…. and too bad there isn’t any clear water areas of my knowlage to dive in.. hehe.. pluse i’d need a buddy or else it could get dangeruose.
