I remember I was about 11 or 12 maybe, and sometimes I remember having a sleepover with my friend and we’d sleep in the living room… we’d stay up late, listen to music, play with dolls, play on playstation and just hang out. I don’t remember all that much about it, but what I do remember was pretty fun.

My daughter periodically has slumber parties and they are fun. I love how much fun they have.

Now all I need are slumberers! 15 months ago

I’ve lived here for more than three years and honestly don’t have anyone I would consider a friend, let alone anyone I’d allow to sleep over! I hope that’ll change once we move somewhere new later this year. I hope to find some close girlfriends that I can do this type of thing with, preferably other military wives, but that’s not a requirement. I just want to know at least one person so well that this is the type of thing we do when our husbands are away/working.

I’m not a drinker, so it’d just consist of baking (!!), movie-watching, and whatever else. :)

It was soooo totally awesome! 2 years ago

There were about 8 ladies who came over. We drank, crimped, painted, drank, ate, laughed, drank, mixed, mingled, and drank. Particularly me and I paid for it the next morning. But it was a rousing success, I think. It seemed like everyone had a good time.

I even hot pink and green streamers in the dining room. (they are still up!)

I am having some of my girlfriends over for a slumber party. I only had one slumber party when I was kid for a birthday and it turned into a disaster. One girl got all melodramatic and locked herself into the bathroom and was threatening to kill herself. My dad woke up and was furious even though we were on a completely separate end of the house. He made me sleep in my room by myself and all the other girls in the other room. So, this slumber party fortunately will have no pubescent girls and will serve to wipe the slate clean. I am so pumped! We are going to have chick flicks, board games, make your own spa treatment table, manicure and pedicure stuff, cosmo and other girl magazines, booze, cupcakes, brownies and ice cream! Yay!

I have a ton of awesome memories from being a kid and having slumber parties. The ultimate satisfaction that you stayed up all night without your parents knowing, hanging out with your besties all night watching movies, playing video games, hot tubbing, taking pictures, talking about boys… whatever it may be.

Doing this again with a bunch of friends… good ol pop and chip night with some movies all night long, snuggled up with blankets, WITH boys (instead of talking about them), and all that good stuff :D

    Slumber Parties are FUNNN!!

DivsSA is back on 43 things... :) this time for good

One of my favorite childhood memories. 3 years ago

It wasn’t even my party. It was my elder sisters birthday and she invited some of her friends over for a night out then a sleep over. My sister and I have always been really close so I joined them on this event.

We ended up having a huge feast (Moms a good cook) then going out for a late night movie(Chic flick) and a few drinks non-alcoholic ofcourse(Parents were around). We were all still to young to go clubbing.

We got home in the early morning and all seven of us squeezed into one bed. It was so uncomfitable but we were having to much fun to split up into different rooms. We sang the latest songs; played truth or dare and more than I can remember.

We eventually fell of to sleep about 8:00. Woke up by about 11:00 and went out for lunch. By about late afternoon everyone started leaving for home.

It was a good day but the first and last time that all seven of us ever got together again.

I will have a lovely slumber party with my daughters! And we will eat tons of Ben and Jerry’s, watch Narnia and consume an entire veggie pizza!
