finish my MFA

I graduated on May 18th, 2008. I had a 3.96 final grade point average. It feels GREAT to be finished and I feel very accomplished.

I plan to take a year off, get my daughter caught up in school, and into a good high school, then I plan to look for a university teaching job, and pursue LMA and Labanotation certification.

I sent my thesis off to be bound, just for my own personal copy. It came in the mail today. I’m ready to graduate, and I can hardly stand finishing up the week and a half of classes I have left.

I’m almost done. All I have to do is go to one class for the next two weeks, and graduate.

I turned in my thesis document today. What an awesome feeling! I just have a few more weeks of school, then… DONE! Can’t wait.

My concert is over. That, I believe, was the hard part of my thesis. I’m exhausted, and it was heaven artistically, but hell emotionally. I don’t even want to talk about it, actually. I’m glad it’s over.

My dances were awesome, by the way, and well received.

My thesis concert opens on Wednesday. When it’s over, the hardest part of my MFA will be behind me. I’ll also be bored, lol. One more semester after this one. It’s all good!

Just finished my second year. One more to go! Next semester will be a regular doosie but the last one will be a breeze. Almost there!

I won an award for writing at the end of this semester – a paper I agonized over for a class that I took in the Fall. $500 award!

I am writing my proposal for my thesis concert to take place in October of 2007. Light, end of tunnel, I see it!

I’m getting ready to start my second semester of grad school at the end of the month. I’m hoping to finish in three years, but we’ll see. I’m taking it slow right now—I took two classes last semester and two this semester. I’m hoping to up it to three next year.
