Go on a scavenger hunt

Our high school used to do scavenger hunts as a fund raiser every year. It was a blast to participate, but the best year was the year we had to host it. SO much fun!

Man, I remember being in elementary school and doing these. I always help out people on hunts! If you ever need anything, I’ll try to help!!

A friend of a friend sets up this incredibly elaborate scavenger hunt every year. This past year, I went. He has a page of rules (no cars, no going to friends’ houses, etc) and a page of items to find that have point values. I still have the list because one day, I want to establish my own. We had so much fun! You act crazy and be silly and everyone wants to help because they want to be included too.
Examples: a coon skin hat- 1500 pts.
Viagra pill-1000 pts.
An Atari game- 500 pts.
Barry Manilow record- 500 pts. (someone came back w/ this one!)
Biggest pinecone ever seen (10 pts. per inch)
a hotel guest soap- 250 pts.
a cup of NaCl- 250 pts.
Payton Manning, live in the flesh- a bajillion points

There were over 100 items on the list, and it was just as much fun sitting around afterwards, tallying points and seeing the crazy stuff people came back with!

Woke up early this morning to do a scavenger hunt with my sorority sisters, so I’m tired now, but we had so much fun! We had to find out some details about the university’s history and collect some goofy stuff like a pink cowboy hat, toy squirrel, tied bow-tie, etc. We won though! This is the third scavenger hunt I’ve participated in and the second that we’ve won = )

Princess Cruises have a cruise long scavenger hunt. It was 3 pages long.
The first part was gathering 13 things like pillow chocolates & poker chip from the casino.
Part two was 12 signatures a red headed passenger, that was easy we had the whole family a few cabins down from us & a dancer that was hard the sleep during the day and perform at night.
the last part was 13 questions What are the combined ages of the cruise directors staff? The women hated answering that one! How many stairs from deck 5 forward to Horizon Court? 140 that was from our floor to breakfast each day! LOL!
I won!!I only got one wrong, there are 8 dancers in the troop, I counted the people on stage & in the photo but some of them were singers, boo. Anyway for all of my trouble we got four lanyards & 2 baby blue rubber bracelets that my son won’t wear because they say “Dawn Princess” on them ! LOL!!!!

took place at eleven at night to one in the morning… and had us trekking across 100 acres of woods… thank goodness the guy i was with knew the trail well… we still came in dead last but it was fun.

We went on a photo scavenger hunt with single use cameras and then took them to one hour developer to see who came up with the best photos for each of the “treasures” we were hunting down.
