eat food that I've never tried before

Last year, just before I left Burma, I ate a few grasshoppers, aka crickets. I didn’t want to leave the country without giving them a try. They tasted like potato chips, except for the legs which kept getting caught between my teeth.

Word to the wise: bring dental floss if you’re going to chow down on crickets. And make sure you take some photos, because your friends won’t believe you if you tell them what you did! 21 months ago

In the country where I live, fried grasshoppers are a snack. They do NOT taste good. I figure that since I eat all sorts of ethnic food already, why force myself to try MORE stuff? 6 years ago
