Bought a sketchbook today… and some cool pens!
How to keep a sketchbook
How I did it: Every day I tried to draw in it. I drew about how I felt, bad things and good things that had happen to me during the day // night or etc
I drew things I couldn't put into words, that matters to me, I drew about love, life, kids, etc

So, this year, I took an art class, half out of interest, and half out of not wanting to take a yearbook class. So far, the first semester is over, and I really like it. Unfortunately, the sketchbook we use in that class has been neglected lately, so I want to get another one for my personal use.
It will hone my art skills, help my observe things better, and just maybe, keep me from craving Krispy Kreme donuts.
Now, I need to buy a nice, small sketchbook…

I try to draw every day and most of the time I do. It’s not a matter of forgetting to draw, I just never find myself drawing in a sketchbook. Post it notes, scrap paper, napkins – yes. Sketchbooks – hardly ever. There’s something a little daunting about a new bound sketchbook with fresh, crisp white sheets. I’ve decided to keep a loose leaf sketchbook and worry about the binding later. I just need a small folio to keep it all together and I’m set.
After a year of having this on my list (and neglecting it for a year), I’ve graduated school and have more time on my hands. I don’t have a job yet (look at: my 1st thing) so I’ve decided to go buy a sketchbook tomorrow and start sketching!

I went to a local museum and drew for a while which was very nice as its not my main creative outlet and so I didn’t feel any pressure and just enjoyed it.
Funny thing!!! I am not drawing every single time I can, but whenever I draw, I certainly keep it in a place to remember. After a long time this scketch book seems extremely valuable!!!

Not only did I dig out my dear moley, I made my first spread in it too! I’m not brave enough to post it here but I’m very satisfied with this small start.
