How to finish therapy
How I did it: I've had multiple rounds of therapy starting at age 12 (I'm now 53). Recently found a great therapist (THANK GOD) here in Tucson. Was in therapy twice a week for two years to nail a really annoying persistent problem; very successful. Went back into therapy after a year off to deal with a crisis. Back out of therapy again. If I wasn't working full time now I might consider going more than once a week for a while. Difficult for me to really build up a head of steam going only once a week.

five+ years, three amazing therapists, some psychologically miserable times, and a lot of learning later, I finally feel ready to let go. It’s extremely scary, and I never thought I’d feel strong enough, but I think I’m ready. Wish me luck.
this “thing” is not exactly a goal, but more of an inspiration and strength. and a new chapter will start when it is achieved. the thought to finish therapy is kinda scary, but i can’t wait.
