See Penn and Teller in Las Vegas

P&T were just as great as I thought they’d be. Cool bonus: I hadn’t known they signed autographs and posed with the audience after the show. They really do rock.

So worth doing, I’m going to do it again next time I’m in Vegas!

and I even know how the bullet catch is done…

So.. I was there last Saturday with my dad and a group of people. I was going to have the VIP Box.. but my group of people out grew the box so we got other tickets.

I would recommend it to you… go when you got to Vegas. The Rio is just off the strip.. I would take a shuttle.. I tried to walk it and it is a lot farther than it looks. That is a rule that you will learn when you are in Vegas.. nothing is as close as it looks.

I saw this with some friends the last time I was in Vegas. Lots of fun, and we even went up on stage at the beginning. Afterwards they were signing autographs and taking pics with people.. so I got my ticket signed, and a photo with each of them.. A fun nite.

I also highly recommend seeing the Blue Man Group, if that is your sort of thing.

I think this little Las Vegas trip I have planned is going to accidentally turn into a party. I originally got tickets to the show for 4 people.. hoping I would find one other poor schumuck that would suffer sitting next to me to see the show. But.. now as it is turning out.. several others want to go too. I think the current count of confirmed people is about 8. It’s creeping to 10 or 14 quickly too as people start checking their calendars.

Maybe I need to record a hit song… or maybe make a movie… that way I can have an Entourage. It would be like my own little traveling party scene. That is something to think about.. I think I could do that on a part time basis… heck.. I think I may already be doing a little of this without knowing it. Wouldn’t that be funny. I guess I need to find out “officially” what an entourage consist of… then I will do the opposite and see what happens.

I looked today for my trip to Vegas.

Several years ago, I took my father to Vegas for a week. It’s time that we do that again. I am booking us a package deal with hotel and airfare. We both love Penn & Teller… so I called today and got us a VIP Box for a show (it fits 4 people.. so far it’s me and my dad.. and maybe (I hope) a Vegas friend…. I have another seat if you would like to go with us…)

This will be fun. I deserve it.

Worth doing, no matter what the tickets cost now. You will get every cent out of the ticket price. Funny, intelligent, amazing – they keep you going every moment of the show.

What, it’s an extra $10 or so? Don’t be a cheapskate. Buy the tickets in the orchestra section (or whatever it’s called in that theater). You won’t be sorry. There’s an ape, a duck, rivers of goldfish being plucked out of the air and a half-naked, beautiful babe—whee! Oh, yeah, and then there’s Penn & Teller, who left me shaking with excitement by the time they were done. Go early (to hear the Mike Jones Duo) and stay late (to meet P&T, of course). It’s sexy, funny and smart.

Bring your camera! They let you take pictures and they come out into the hallway to meet people and pose for pictures after the show. I had no clue and left my camera in the room. I still regret that.

Penn & Teller, for those of you who do not know, play daily at The Rio in Las Vegas every night except Tuesday.

I not only want to visit and see the show, but steal all the Penn & Teller promo stuff they leave in hotel rooms :D
