I would say, I do not watch tv almost at all anymore. Instead of, I listen to radio and I have awful lot of music on my computer (16 G right now).... and I hang a bit too much on the internet and msn. But I would declare – I’m done with television watching. Haha…
How to watch less TV, or at least watch better TV
How I did it: I have changed the tv subscription to less channels. And I only watch 2 series maximum and the news. The other programs have simply zero interest factor for me.

because i found much more pleasure in books (again). I havenĀ“t been reading so much since my school years and I’m enjoying it just like in the old days. I’m sure, I will never replace books for lousy TV.
My roommate and I canceled our cable last September and we don’t get any tv reception where we live. After the first couple weeks it’s not hard at all to live without tv. Yeah, we aren’t up on the “latest” shows etc…, but most of it’s all crap anyway. It’s so nice to have time to read and listen to audiobooks, and much better for my brain! Now I just get anything I want to watch on iTunes or Netflix and watch it whenever I want to.
But I do kinda miss BBC America, the History Channel, and Animal Planet. :(
Just get busy with other things such as school, and develop a genuine interest in the programs on TV—I love ancient history, science, and technology so there are always three or four channels to choose from in the rare event that I do have time to watch TV.
I love channels like discovery, food network and afew comedy and reality shows scattered across some other channels. But do I need to watch them? No I only watch if I choose to relax this way ..and my attention span is 1/2 hr for that
Just get really, really busy. Then, if you have a bit of time before you watch tv- you will notice how absurd it is.
I am watching a lot less tv, as my focus is on work at home, but I still have it on all the time I am in. The result is that the cat is watching a lot of tv!!
Something like…”You don’t have a tv? What do you point the furniture at?”
