Yup, I bought a washing machine with my tax refund. What a pleasure to not have to wash too much by hand anymore or leave my flat to wash clothes.

As suspected, this goal turned out to be incompatible with my other goals of stick to a budget and Reduce debt.
Besides that, I can get my cheap-o washing machine working better by dropping a mere $25 on a new lint filter.
so I guess thats this goal done and dusted. Feel a bit happier about the expense and hassle now I know that I can get my clothes clean! :-) Here’s hoping this one lasts longer than the last 2!
Oh well, I’ve ordered a new machine – its not what I want, but what I NEED is clean clothes! the good news is that it hasn’t broken the bank and I’ve still managed to shift a bit more off the credit cards this month. Can’t say I’m overjoyed at the thought of a new washing machine though – wish the last one had lasted a little longer! :-S
Long story short – new machine due to arrive on Sunday.
Since my current washing machine works (more or less) and I don’t pay the water or electricity bill, this goal may currently be incompatible with my other goal Reduce debt, so I’ll have to see how this pans out.
Well, I played in a poker tournament, and came in 7th place. I used my prize money to purchase my front loading washing machine from Best Buy! I can’t ev!en believe it! It’s getting delivered on the 9th of August. Next time I’m in the money, I’m going to buy the matching dryer!
