How I did it: My husband was invited to be the guest of honor at a conference and I was able to tag along. The convention organizers were incredibly generous and helpful and made the trip nearly effortless for us. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Well, my job sent me to Helsinki to work on a project. I didn't have any long term planning to do so it all worked out. I ended up on the project for close to a year but I was able to come home from time to time. I didn't need to though. Read how I did it…

are thinking about going to Finland next summer. :D We don’t know yet if we can (concerning money and stuff) neither do we know what we’re going to do once we get there. but we’ll see :)
oh, and I wanna learn Finnish too, I think that language is so funny :D

I’ve been wanting to go for so long—not only because of how everyone says that it’s simply breathtaking. Simply the fact that about 3 or 4 of my favourite bands are Finnish makes it worth going.
Maybe before University, as a little reward for my hard work… ;)
lol. but 43 things makes me. also, its my own fault. mostly because of my own lazyness in not trying to find a way out of it! but whos really the victim here? you! yay! so congratulations. youve just wasted roughly…30 seconds? of your time…reading this. anyway… i want to go to finland.
I went and spent my summer there 1.5 years ago to reconnect with long lost family members I never knew. It was amazing. I think I may decide to live there one day. I found this little house in Parikkalla that would be perfect. Either that or an apartment smack in the middle of Helsinki.
I miss it, and I often look at my pictures from the trip. I felt like I belonged there. Everyone has always said I’m the most un-American American they know. And I agree with them. But I felt at home in Finland.
Anyway, I totally recommend going there. It’s beautiful, and incredibly unique. Just don’t be put off by the people. They aren’t mean, they’re just more quiet than Americans.
on 17th birthday

im going to back to move home and see my parents
going to be best day of my life
so this summer im going back home
I live in Finland. Of course, it’s….em, cute up here. The nature sure is something to see… But, yeah as my Geography-teacher said when we talked about how come we’re only 5 miljon people in a kinda big country, Just look out the window,it’s against the laws of nature to live here.
Yep. Don’t come here now. It’s cold, but still 3+ Celsius. Around Christmas we’re used to -30. Yippie.
But if you wanna go downhill, then go to northern Finland, that’s sooooooooooooooooooooo beautiful
I live close to the sea, in a town called Jakobstad(in swedish, Finland has two languages), or Pietarsaari(In finnish). It’s wonderful here in the summer. http://www.jakobstad.fi/index_en.html
The schooltragedy was horrible. Sometimes i wonder when its going to happen here in my school. I may seem respectless now, but it’s just to get over it. It’s in the law to go to school. And people are getting shot every day. It’s just to try to not think about it :(
But come to my town in the summer :) And go to Ruka, in northern Finland in the winter, it’s worth it.

to our 43T friends in Finland. I just heard about the school tragedy that happened there from a work colleague, and wanted to send you my sympathies.
