Not only did I and my other-half get to stay over in the new Sydney Hilton free before it re-opened after two years of renovation and rebuilding… in a NEW bed (definitely a once off!), but we also had free dinner and breakfast in their new Glass restaurant with head chef Luke Mangan.
You can do a lot of damage when food is free :) And of course, it always tastes better when it’s free!
But I did this because I was working there as a runner when it re-opened. Definitely one of the only perks of the job. This was one of my support rebound-jobs when I was ready to throw the towel in on science.
Nothing like being forced to wear a skirt and work in hospitality to bring me to my senses :) It was a job and I learned a lot, but hospitality pays so poorly for people who work their buns off. I’m glad I had the experience though.
