I bought my iAudio M3 at the end of Feb’05. Yes, that’s 2005. I tried for the first week when I got it to figure it out but to no avail. I paid around $300 for this 20GB MP3 player that also has a radio. Researched it and those that have had the iPOD and this liked this far more.
What I didn’t take into account was the availability of the iPOD and the iAUDIO. No one I knew had an iAudio, so I really couldn’t get help. The customer service and forum were of no use. I even had one of the engineering managers at my work try. 2 engineers could not figure out how to get my iAudio to work.
When I was working out on Tues, my CD walkman was acting up. I thought maybe it was the CD. No. I played the CD on a player at home and it was fine, so it was my CD walkman. We had 2 other CD walkmen at home—none of which worked. Can you believe it? 3 CD walkmen and NONE work. I threw them out today.
So, the night before, I found my iAudio, recharged it and tried to figure it out. Well, I can’t say I figured out how to totally use it, but I figured out enough to get a bunch of songs on there and listen to them during my cardio workout.
Will worry about playlists, sorting, and different modes later. I was able to listen to KLOVE (a Christian contemporary radio station) on my iAudio, so that was cool. The sound is really good. It is much smaller and lighter than my CD walkman and can hold 5000 songs. I only have about 2700 songs, but probably will only load 1500 or so. The rest will be motivational audio things to listen to.
Shameful that it took me this long to get this far. I was determined to NOT buy another CD walkman. The manager that couldn’t figure out my iAudio gave me his 20GB iPOD, which needs a new battery, which will be $60. Not bad. Anyway, I need to figure that out, too. I can do it.
