Become a RN

I have wanted to be a nurse since I was a little girl. i just want to do something I love and get paid enough to provide a good life for my son on the way.

I want to become a rn. I graduated from highschool in 02. I have been taking my prereq classes off and on since graduation of 02. I finally finished all my prereqs in the year of 07. Now, I am a little unsure of what to do next. I believe I have to apply for the nursing program and take a test. I know if i was to pursue the nursin program, I would have to give up my place, and move back in with my parents. The reason of that is because I am currently working a full time job that works swing shifts and my schooling would not fit in. So Im pretty much on stand by on what’s the next thing I should do. I think this summer I am going to do some voulunteering at a local hospital, to get a feel of what nurses do. So I know that I am 100% sure it’s what I want befor i give up everything and to find out Im not cut out for it. Doing that, I think it would lead me on to the next step. I also hear that nursing school is very hard work. Basically, you can forget a social life. I’ve never been a good test taker, but I get through school. I think that’s another situation that is making it hard for me. I dont want to give up everything I have, only to fail. Another reason I’m pressing the situation so much, is because at the time Im 24, with no kids, no husband, no committment, except my job. So I would like to get it out the way, before I have a family. Anyone with any advice or experience is greatly appreciated. Good luck to you all.

After years of fretting over what I want to do with my life, I think I’ve on the right path…no, lets rephrase that, I know I’m on the right path and I want to be a nurse. I need to type it, say it, and stick to it. Its scary to think about leaving my stable, boring, but consistent job but I don’t think I’ll ever be happy if I don’t. I’ve given this a ton of thought, and I need to do what I’m interested in, what makes me happy, and what I’m excited about. Luckly becoming a nurse and working in woman’s health can pay the bills too. So, now I need to stick to my guns, save enough money, and get into a nursing program asap.

Wow this is already my senior year, and i finally know what I want to do. I want to go to college and become a Registered Nurse. If my wild playful aunty made it, I can too!

Its time to go back to school and become the RN. I have been procratinating, because there is a 4 yr waiting list, but If I would have started way back then, Id already be a RN :)
The kids are grown, time is a wasteing. Starting this comming fall semester :)... wow its been along time since ive been in a class room. But I think I can. :)
