"It was my second time around..."

How I did it: It actually didn't go so well this second time, the first experience with it was much better (and no.. I didn't go through scar tissue got it done higher up and more to the side) anyways, had some troubles and took much longer to heal. But I love it and still think that it is worth it. :)

Lessons & tips: I actually prefer going into piercings nervous, because then I'm not as focused on the pain in it, more focused on being worried that it will hurt.. if that makes any sense.

How I did it: I had wanted my monroe pierced for like two years, and when i finally decided to do it my fiancee agreed wich made it easier. When I went in i was terrified, but "Pokey" reassured me, after he got the needle through and the ring on i moved and shut my mouth wich made it come out, Then pokey had to re-pierce my monroe three times. there was SO much blood that night, and i was almost passed out. How I did it: I was at the tattoo parlor with my sister and boyfriend, she was getting her nose pierced and told me if I wanted a piercing she would pay for it. I always said "nothing on my face" but I can't pass up a free piercing! It hurt while the lady was piercing it, the clamps were the worst part, I thought she was going to rip my lip off, after a few days when the swelling went down and he pain was over I loved it!     Okay so I have a question I got a monroe piercing about a week ago and the back of the jewelry on the inside of my lip it feels like my lip is trying to cover it up and push it up into my lip. it is creating like a suction cup feeling I was just wondering if this was normal. Also on the outside of my piercing it looks like the ball is trying to push thru my face like go into the hole is this normal. I may just be over reacting but no one i know has this piercing so i am like freaking out please help!

    i LOVE my monroe piercing! its really cute plus didnt hurt when i got it done. if you’re thinking about getting this done my advice is to do research and make sure your piercer is very sterile, and that she uses a new needle etc.

    I didnt swell much the next day cuz i put an ice pack on it regularly and took ibuprofen.
