No TV at my house

I haven’t owned a television since the 31st of May, 2005. That’s the day my house burned and turned that 19-inch color TV into abstract art. I simply didn’t replace it. Do I miss TV? Not really. Not having an ‘idiot box’ (as my mother calls it) is a blessing in disguise really. I have lots of free time to do other things much more productive than sitting on my duff watching nothing important. I have not however completely eliminated TV from my life. I get about two hours of TV in each week. It does kill the time when you’re away from home babysitting and the kids have already gone to sleep.
TV though, is unnecessary in the grand scheme of my life. I can easily do without it totally.
