    Fun!  — 1 year ago

I went to the one in Boston. My friend chose this for her birthday. So we rented a limo and the show and dinner. I was real nervous b/c I was in mid Crohn’s flare. In order to be excused from the table for anything you had to get permission from the King. In order to be excused you have to do some sort of entertaining for him. So of course I got pre-approval but I was good for most of the time.

Check and see if the Medieval Times you are going to has utensils  — 1 year ago

    Worth doing!

We took our child when he was three years old and the place had no utensils (even for soup, you were to just tip the bowl and drink) and our kid was miserable, despite it being a great show. Some kids love to eat with their hands and get messy, but our kid wasn’t one of them. We went to a newer Medieval Times a few years later and they didn’t have utensils given out to patrons, but when we asked for them, they were able to get some at least.

    Orlando  — 1 year ago

    Worth doing!

I did it! So much fun, and the food was great. Went with my dad, we’re down here in Orlando and thought it would be a good way to pass the evening. Our knight even won, unfortunately he got killed.

Is the ending always the same? Does the same knight always triumph or do they switch around?

    Worth doing!

I took a couple of Japanese colleagues who were visiting NYC on business. We hired a limo to go there and back. They never had so much fun; shouting for our champion, gnawing on roast chicken without utensils, wearing crowns and tunics, chatting up the serving wenches. It’s silly, but in a good way. Gets you out of your sober, serious mood. Great for families. Well worth doing (and it compares well with Excalibur’s Tournament of Kings in Las Vegas).

Lots of Times  — 2 years ago

    Worth doing!

Okay, so not really lots, but I’ve been to it in Los Angeles, in Chicago twice, in Texas, in Florida, and in Toronto (where I treated my parents). Why do I think I was at one in Denver? There’s not one there now, but I still think I was at one there. Weird. Does anyone know if there was one there that closed?

Now I just have to visit the ones in New Jersey, Maryland and South Carolina (and the one coming to Georgia this year) and I’ll have been to them all.
