is the chance to eat a chunk of meat like henry the 8th?
is it the enjoyment of going back in time without sacrificing modern luxuries, like health codes?
is the chance to participate in mob mentality by ‘booing’ the jousters and saying old timey curses at them?
is it the fact that it is the most ridiculous date ever?
is it because any man that would take me there would be the man i would marry because he loves goofy, fake history as much as i?

Definately worth doing. Went last weekend and had a blast. Like nothing I’ve ever done before!

Segsy is looking for a new job... yet again!
I went to the one in Boston. My friend chose this for her birthday. So we rented a limo and the show and dinner. I was real nervous b/c I was in mid Crohn’s flare. In order to be excused from the table for anything you had to get permission from the King. In order to be excused you have to do some sort of entertaining for him. So of course I got pre-approval but I was good for most of the time.

We took our child when he was three years old and the place had no utensils (even for soup, you were to just tip the bowl and drink) and our kid was miserable, despite it being a great show. Some kids love to eat with their hands and get messy, but our kid wasn’t one of them. We went to a newer Medieval Times a few years later and they didn’t have utensils given out to patrons, but when we asked for them, they were able to get some at least.

Leila is in love with Lexington
I did it! So much fun, and the food was great. Went with my dad, we’re down here in Orlando and thought it would be a good way to pass the evening. Our knight even won, unfortunately he got killed.

Des is slowly regaining her sanity (unfortunately?)
Is the ending always the same? Does the same knight always triumph or do they switch around?

I took a couple of Japanese colleagues who were visiting NYC on business. We hired a limo to go there and back. They never had so much fun; shouting for our champion, gnawing on roast chicken without utensils, wearing crowns and tunics, chatting up the serving wenches. It’s silly, but in a good way. Gets you out of your sober, serious mood. Great for families. Well worth doing (and it compares well with Excalibur’s Tournament of Kings in Las Vegas).
