I’ve got Pride and Prejudice (Best. Book. EVER.) and Mansfield Park checked off, working on Northanger Abbey right now
For anyone who doesn’t want to buy all the novels or wait for them at the library, here is a link to her novels to read free of charge online:

i finished Persuasion this summer. it was very good and interesting. Austen knew how to spin em.
incidently, what do you all think of the film Becoming Jane? I thought it was decent.
Now read ‘The Jane Austen Book Club’ by Karen Joy Fowler – witty and enjoyable if you know the JA novels well.
yay!
i finished ‘persuasion’, i loved it.
i really liked the idea of getting a second chance in love.
now i’ve read all six novels.
there are still some other smaller things to read but i consider this goal achieved.
misstenny is loving this project
she is such an intelligent and noble writer. she defied social status in her time, and published her first book under a male pen name. the chick had guts.
When you say “everything,” you’ve got to mean everything, not just “her six finished novels.” I’ve read her unfinished novels, all her juvenilia, and her letters. They’re all worth reading.
I finished today! It was a good thing. Some of the books were a little slow/confusing- but that’s just because they’re so old. For Austen’s works to still make any sense is amazing, let alone the fact that they’re enjoyable.
I have read: Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Northanger Abbey, and Emma.
I think I have persused The Watsons but I can’t remember.
If i read Lady Susan, Mansfield Park, The Watsons and Persuasion, I will consider this goal complete.
btw, anyone have any thoughts on the recent movie “Becoming Jane” with Anne Hathaway as our beloved Austen? I have my doubts about it, but it looks mores trustworthy than the recent Keira Knightly P&P monstrosity.
