Looking forward to my time with the shaman taking part of this ceremony.
How to drink Ayahuasca
How I did it: With an excellent shaman of an indian tribe of the Putumayo in a ceremonial context. Although I was very afraid ,I do not regret this experience that expanded my perception and nurtured my soul . I read about the plant 13 years ago and it took me that long to have the courage to try it.
Lessons & tips: It's something very serious that lets you enter in contact with your deepest fears. It makes you get free of heavy burdens and it leaves your heart ready to perceive the world with new eyes and to feel the immensity of divine love.
Resources: -Prepare yourselves, don't eat meat some days before drinking the plant and avoid any excess.

I have been reading about this and more and more interested in finding out more about this often spiritual experience.
I have just finished reading Wild – by Jay Griffith she writes alot about her experiences living with shamens in South America.
It’s such a special mind opening substance to take – I wonder if I’ll ever feel ready to experience it. I’d hate to be a part of tourist attraction – if I’m going to try it I want to be able to learn from my experience and feel it was for the right reasons.
I’ve never really experimented much with any drugs – so I don’t know if I can handle it. But its something I keep finding my way back to. I’ve heard your outlook isn’t the same afterwards.
It’s a huge leap for me to even write this on my 43things…
I’m saving up money to go do this in Refugio Altiplano in Peru, together with a shaman and a group of people.
I plan on traveling to Peru and going through a very well-reputed tour group with respected master shamans as my guides.
This isn’t a spur-of-the-moment decision, and I have another year to mentally, physically, and spiritually prepare for it. I know that this will be one of the most intense and eye-opening experiences of my life.
If anybody has any advice (getting there/back on a budget is going to be tough) it’d be much appreciated. =)
It is a wonderful experience but you have to be careful it’s no childs toy it can be very uncomfortable not least because of how sick it makes you feel, but it can be truly wonderful. One thing though if you want to smoke cannabis while using it be very careful it can make the experience considerably stronger and harder to handle
I would recommend this to anyone interested in knowing themselves. This is one of the most important experiences in my life so far.
Do this in a ceremonial setting with a guide you trust.
Kate L. got her invitation to join the Peace Corps
Find a good spiritual guide to do this.
