Go to Portland, Oregon

I served a mission for my church here! It was TOTALLY awesome! One of the best things I’ve done with my life. I went 2003-2005 and have gone back 2x’s a year to visit until 2008 and I havent made it there yet this year :*(

It’s simply awful. Another person gets killed on Mt Hood and whoever did it simply walked away.

Awful.

Three people get lost on Mt Hood and some uncivilized Oregonians actually gripe about who’s going to pay for the search and rescue.

Awful.

Other people can’t get rescued in time because Oregonian ‘cops’ can’t get along with each other.

Awful.

Malevolent and awful.

I’ve visited portland, but i’m going to live there when i go to college. :-) yay!

I’ve lived here all of my life and love it. I’d recommend visiting the coast – specifially Haystack Rock, and go see/hike in the Columbia Gorge. :)

Chuck Palaniuk wrote a book on Portland and made it seem so appealing.
Maybe by the next August I’ll have gone. I’ll go to B.C. and then hop down to the states and fly back home from Portland.

Portland is a wonderful town to visit, to live in, to be unemployed in, to work in. People believe in their art. It is a part of their lives. People care about this town.
