Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

Eau des MerveillesWent to pre-season opener!

Went to my first Leafs game today!

We’ve never gone before b/c it’s always super expensive and impossible to get tix.

Plus in recent years I’ve given up on staying up late to watch games. Because I know they’ll always disappoint and never win the cup. They sometimes dont’ even make the playoffs and are still the richest team in the whole league.

But today was completely different.

It was fun to see the game in person and not just tv. the ACC is great, you can see everything, even from the 300 seats. We were right behind the net too. The energy at the game is great. Leafs fans are insanely hardcore. Cheering and screaming out “Go Leafs Go.”

And I really liked the games they played during the tv commercial breaks. And lots of fans used their blow up sticks to make noise. And even Wendel Clark was giving away prizes in the stands. Was great.

They even gave us 7 goals! They beat Buffalo 7-4. That’s rare w/ the Leafs.

Now if only they’ll keep playing this way the whole season….

caiters2 games in one week!

Even though the leafs didn’t really have a chance of making the playoffs this year, it was still fantastic to see 2 games in 1 week

Tuesday Apr 11, 2006 (vs. Florida) was a close game and the leafs ended up winning 6-5 in OT.

Saturday Apr 15, 2006 (vs. Ottawa)...what a game. The leafs dominated the Sens with a 5-1 win!!!!

unreal32Great game, great time

Went to a game last week for the first time in 30 years. It was very exciting and had a great time. There are no bad seats in the Air Canada Centre. Go leafs! 8 years ago
