the Beach Boys: ‘God Only Knows’ and ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice’.
I love both of those songs…always have…so I probably always will, lol.
When I was little, my big brother (who is 10 years older than I am) and I used to go around singing Beach Boys and Jan & Dean songs. He’d sing the lyrics, and I’d sing the backup vocals. L* I love to sing, and it was always so much fun (plus my brother was so cool…but don’t tell him I said that…) But the songs we sang were the surfing and car songs, not the lovey-dovey ones like these two, lol.
Now-a-days, I’m not really that big of a Beach Boys fan. I *really don’t like kokamo or any of the “new” stuff they’ve done. And I don’t really even like all the surfing songs…but these two-for whatever reason-are two of my favorites, of all time:)

Not just because I’m a Beatles fan.
Sean has a new album that just recently came out (which I still want to get…maybe for Christmas…hint, hint;) But way back when, when his first album (‘Into The Sun’) came out I bought it and fell in love. I can’t explain why.
I think that with his music, you’re either gonna love it or hate it. His voice is a bit high when he sings, and it’s quite distinctive…but the music is smooth and hauntingly beautiful. I wish he’d make more…

I would have to say that this is probably my favorite song of all time. I’ve loved it from the first time I heard it, and it has never gotten old or boring…The lyrics are both thoughtful and thought provoking, and the music is soothing and reassuring.
And John Lennon—what can I say? I’ve loved him forever, and always will.

Yes, I know…John Denver…but what girl wouldn’t want to have such a beautiful, simple, amazingly romantic love song written for her?
Here are the lyrics:
You fill up my senses
like a night in the forest
like the mountains in springtime,
like a walk in the rain
like a storm in the desert,
like a sleepy blue ocean
you fill up my senses,
come fill me again.
Come let me love you,
let me give my life to you
let me drown in your laughter,
let me die in your arms
let me lay down beside you,
let me always be with you
come let me love you,
come love me again.
(instrumental)
You fill up my senses
like a night in the forest
like the mountains in springtime,
like a walk in the rain
like a storm in the desert,
like a sleepy blue ocean
you fill up my senses,
come fill me again.

The funny thing about this song is that when it came out, I could not stand to listen to it. It was too slow and boring for my taste. It was majorly overplayed on our local radio station. I would turn it off every time it came on.
About the time that it started to fade away from the airwaves, for whatever reason I listened to the song. It totally blew me away. That moment, I absolutely fell in love with it, and it has been one of my favorites ever since:)

I absolutely love this song!!!!!
I had never heard it until I was in highschool, but it is such a fun song…I love to dance around when it comes on, and even though I don’t have a clue what the lyrics are, I love to sing it! It’s soooo smooth on the ol’ vocal chords;) I love it!

Happy. Wanna dance? That’s how I feel when I listen to Stevie Wonder:)
Some of my favorites are: ‘I Was Made To Love Her’, ‘You Are The Sunshine Of My Life’, ‘Sir Duke’, and ‘Overjoyed’...just to name a few;)
