I did pretty good with this the first day, but totally didn’t want to get up today. I should start going to bed earlier.

How I did it: I set my alarm to a song I like that always makes me happy- it made me happy in the mornings too :). Although you could set it to a song you dislike so you answer it but it would personally make me annoyed in the mornings as I'm a bad morning person :pI set my snooze button to 5 minutes so I wouldn't sleep in and would want to wake up or get sick of hearing one song and one song onlyAs soon as I got in the routine I felt it was easier to wake up Read how I did it…
How I did it: What it finally took for me was a serious alarm clock. I bought a Sonic Alert alarm clock. Technically, it's for the hearing-impaired. The alarm is super loud (allegedly 100+ decibels, which is louder than a jackhammer; I doubt it's that loud, but it's pretty noisy and hard to ignore). The tone can be adjusted to higher and lower pitches, and the face is very bright. Also, it has a "bed shaker". Ye… Read how I did it…
How I did it: First, i cranked up the volume on my radio alarm clock, so that there was NO chance that i slept through it. Then, to make sure it didnt just reach over and hit the snooze, i placed it under my bed, so that i had to get out of bed and get on my knees to turn it off. Read how I did it…
How I did it: i now have 3 alarms that go off in the morning. one goes off an hour before i wake up, the next is 30 mins before i wake up, and the last is the time i really need to wake up. the last one i CAN NOT snooze. i set it on my dresser, that way i HAVE to get up out of bed to turn it off. so i do actually get up, when i need to. i just tricked my brain by "snoozing" for an hour. LOL. it works for me... Read how I did it…

How I did it: After so many years of my mother waking me up, I can finally wake up on my own with an alarm clock. The best way to do it, is to realize that there are more important things to do in life rather than lay in bed until noon! If you have a job that requires you to be up at 4:00 in the morning (like mine) that is also an incentive to be up with the alarm. Go to sleep earlier if you are really having trouble with it. I have had days where I know I have nothing planned (Saturday, for example) and even though I usually set TWO alternating alarms, I will get up three or four hours later than what I set them for… and realize I either a) slept through them for hours or b) turned them off IN MY SLEEP. I used to apologize to my roommate because I would have to set my alarm half an hour ahead of hers for the SAME class because my sleepy morning mind would keep hitting the alarm a number of times before it registered it was the the very last minute to get up in time.

I have just started a new regime of earlier bedtime (reporting to a friend once a week how I am doing), and so far this has made it much easier to get up in the morning. I am now setting one alarm for half an hour before get up time, the radio alarm for 15 minutes before, and the really loud alarm on the other side of the room for the get up time. No more getting out of bed every 10 minutes for 2 hours of snoozing… at least, not so far.

Never do it…. but it’s worth doing! :)
ok. so this is specially hard for me because when my alarm sounds I jus stay in my bed has asleep, and it’s really bad because I’m not the only one who is late afterwards, my parents are late also because of me =(
SynchronizedMess loves being maRRied!!
So this morning I did hit the snooze button.
Butttt….
I did get up when it went off! Yay, I’m on my way to recovery.
I have incentive today though, my mama and little sister is coming over. We might go out to eat, or I might have to cook. Either way I wanted to get a early start on these plans.
For the longest time I have struggled with waking up when my alarm goes off.
huge success,I actually woke up 2 minutes before it went off… Not being rushed was a good start to a great first day of work.
