1 semester to go,and an extra year if I get into honours. It only occured to me the other day that I’m pretty much over studying, whereas before I really thought that I could just be a professional student forever! But I’m ready to move on to other things now

How I did it: Really I should have been studying my ass off the entire time, but I only learned to do that consistently in senior year.Basically you just need to study, sleep, eat healthy and exercise, keep a good social life and support system. How I did it: May 2007 I walked in my Commencement Ceremony to shake hands with the President of the Institute. It took four long years of hard work, struggle, and learning to get there. My family helped a ton--but I couldn't have done it without my friends either! The hardest part, but probably the most important, was that while I made myself available to my networks of friends, I also learned to let go of control a little so I could accept support wh… Read how I did it…

Last exam of my finals over, now all I have to do is wait for the results to see whether or not I’ve passed.
Punky_S has 16 days left until the Great American Road Trip!!
I did my last two exams on Friday and so have finished the year! Almost unbelievable for me!
I didn’t stress out as much before these probably because the first “Social and Political Enquiry” exam went ok. “Archaeology” wasn’t that great, I felt that I knew enough about Iron Age Atlantic round-houses for the first question, but nothing at all about whether the Roman’s Antonine Wall could be seen as a symbol of failure – I wouldn’t have picked that question but I knew even less about the others!
“Social and Political Theory” was better. I felt really comfortable comparing Marx and Weber. I’m pretty comfortable with Rousseau and Mill too but not sure if I correctly applied their ideas to the situation we were given.
LESSONS LEARNED: go to classes! If only because you have a better idea which exam question will come up. Archaeology would have gone so much better if I’d only concentrated on learning the right bits.
Remember the adage – 80% of results come from 20% of the work. This means even a tiny bit of revision is incredibly useful, and also that you should move on to your second question when time is up for the first, squeezing out those last few points on one is just taking loads away from the second if you don’t have time to finish it.

Not a bad year. Grades are beginning to improve.
This is my biggest hurdle. I know university is the door to really great opportunities but for me I just want to get out of there. I really appreciate that I have the opportunity to have tertiary education but…it’s killing me!
I didn’t know what I wanted to study so I just chose anything but I realised beginning of this year what I wanted to do…animation! But I’ve changed my uni degree 4 times…so obviously I can’t change again. So the plan is to just get this degree I’m in now and then…animation :D :D :D!!!!!!!!!
Ok, the semestre didn’t end yet, but I can already consider one less semestre to graduation. There’s just one class lating me and I’ve been getting excelent grades on it. I took an 8 in the first exam and a 10 in the second, so I need just a 3 to pass very well (with a final exam). Learning well as I’m doing, a 3 will be easier to get.
So, here I am, goind to the next stage. In July, 4 more classes and the beginning of the Final Paper of my course :)
