write a short story each month

This is my new goal, because i think if i sit down and write one story each month, and spend an afternoon on it, really getting the meat of it tenderized… I could one day go back and edit and put together a collection, or have something to submit to magazines, or stewart mclean’s vinyl cafe or something dopey like that. :)

Story day is the 16th of each month, (or before!)

I think i’d really like to write about my father, about our relationship, about his own particular brand of logic.

It wouldn’t be reverent especially or glorifying but i wouldn’t fry is balls in a cast iron pan either.

I think i’d call it passenger seat for all the times that he’s told me stories one on one while we’ve been driving places.

Its sort of an unreal thing our relationship.
I love him but I don’t know if we’ll ever understand each other.

Hmmm…
Its an idea, but its not anything i plan to do soon.
