I loved sewing when I was younger. I began in junior high and continued right on through my early years in marriage. However, life became busy and I didn’t really seem to have the time. Now, I would like to begin again.
Many women my age find it extremely frustrating to buy clothes. The problem is that our body shape changes, but we still are young at heart. I don’t want to look like I’m 20, but I certainly don’t want some of the matronly looking styles on the rack. Neither do people have the money to buy the designer styles that really look great.
Another area is finding curtains that I like. I suppose I could hire someone, but that can be expensive. I have made drapes in the past, so I know I could manage this as well.
It may be that one of these areas could prove to be lucrative as well. In any case, this is something that really want to pick up on again as soon as I get some other things taken care of.

Not sure what it will be. Many repairs needed: a blanket, my coat pocket, hem of my work pants. I have a great sewing machine that I haven’t had a chance to use.

this will be my new hobby. once i move at the end of the week i’ll set up space in my bedroom and i will begin fabric shopping and designing clothing.

I got a sewing machine in the spring, but suffered an uprooting of my life that has delayed me using it. In September I’ll be ready to do this.
Especially since I’ve found an e-alarm to remind me of my wantings. :P

i just never do it. i think part of the problem is that the sewing machine is set up downstairs and no one ever goes down there. i have tons of projects i’ve wanted to do…i need to finish them!

Yay, it looks good so now I have to decide on my next project which I think will be making more arm warmers :) Very easy but I have everything I need to do it which is a bonus :)
