Wean my toddler

but she hasn’t nursed in several days. I guess it’s done. Wow.

Wow. Ramona hasn’t nursed in over 24 hours. I haven’t been refusing her. I just told her she needed to take a sip of water (which she does like) first, then she could have mama milk.

She has the pigheaded stubbornness of her father, and would rather do without mama milk than take a single sip of water. She woke up a few times overnight asking for mama milk, but repeatedly refused water. Therefore she hasn’t nursed in over 24 hours, and my worst problem is that bras are feeling pretty tight.

I wonder if it’s really going to be this easy.

I wasn’t in any hurry to wean, but my cholesterol test came out badly, and my doctor wants to put me on cholesterol meds. I don’t want to take them while I’m nursing, so assuming my doctor approves, I’m going to try to wean Ramona over the next few months while simultaneously trying to lower my cholesterol. If I can’t get my cholesterol to come down enough by then, then I guess I’ll go on the medication.

Woohoo!!!! 18 mos was too much for me to be breastfeeding!!! I’m so glad he weaned himself off me!!

It must have been God’s grace because all of a sudden he just stopped asking for milk! It’s been two week!!! I call that success!!!!
