So, I went through the ai tutorial, and learned how to make vector pics from photoshopped gifs. Knocked out the bg cleanly and everything. I really should do more tutorials.

Three people have this goal now! Rock!
This week, I learned patience. Photoshop rewards patience.
I had CS, but now I have CS2, and it’s a legal copy, so I can actually do updates and crap. It’s a little bit different, but not by much, so I have not had any problems finding my way around. I have to relearn all the short-cuts, because my last copy was missing a patch and I could not use the hot keys.
I also have Illustrator now, which rocks pretty hard.
I learned new stuff about text, like how to use text mask and stuff. I always did it my own way, and didn’t even realize there was just a text mask button, lol. So many tiny things…
Since my copy of photoshop decided to not let me use my keyboard while in the program, I’ve had to find out where everything is on the menu bar. I could fix it, but it has been a good learning experience. I was so used to just doing everything using shortcuts.
Also, I’ve been working on colorizing an old, washed out family photo for a friend. It’s been a tough project, but worth the time and effort. One thing I’m learning is that once you’ve taken a short cut and screwed up, you can still fix it without totally undoing all of your work, but what’s the point? Never take hoaky short cuts.
yeah, someone wants to be a wizard, and someone else wants to be an expert, but I can’t change my topic. I want to be a guru. I want to live ona hill and have people come to me bearing gifts and begging, “Oh, great photoshop guru, can you tell me how to make this image right with the world?”
“Yes, my son. For I am wise in the ways of photoshop.”
