How I did it: http://www.health.state.mn.us/divs/chs/osr/birth.htmlIt seems like some people paid a lot for their birth certificates. i paid $16. i didn't have to make a copy of my id, i just paid $1 to a notary to stamp my application while i was at the dmv for an unrelated matter. total spent: $17.44 ($.44 for the stamp) Read how I did it…

I convinced my mother to let me use her card. I’m reimbursing her with the cash next Friday. I’m very pleased with the fact that the worst part is over. However, this moment is bittersweet due to the cost. The total amount is $42.00. I was confused. The birth certificate itself is $15.00, in addition to the processing fee, which is $7.00. The cost was originally an acceptable $22.00. At first I thought I accidentally ordered two copies. Then, I realized that I failed to take the shipping fee into account, which happened to be a whopping twenty bucks. Twenty bucks for a shipping fee? I still can’t believe it. Can’t complain, though. I’m making a good investment, and if you want to get optimistic, atleast the total cost wasn’t fifty bucks.

I went to the Vital Chek site. The problem is that I don’t currently have a credit or debit card. I’m going to have to talk my mother into allowing me to use hers. Then, I can reimburse her with cash. This is kind of a pain in the ass. Hopefully, they won’t screw up my certificate or anything. In addition, I hope that I get my certificate before November.
KaliTime Camaralzman is drooling over Vladimir Kozlov. Hey, at least I'm honest...
Someone at Vital records misprinted the date on mine. Long story involving a lot of childish behavior in people old enough to have known better. My actual file on record has my proper birth date, as does the hospital. It’s now just a question of getting it corrected and getting a full proper certificate rather than a record of birth like I have now.
Things I need for this.
Patience.
New enamel for my teeth.
Patience.
The mental strength of several religions venerable people.
Patience.
About 60.00USD for the fees associated with document correction at various places.
This will get done before the year is out for sure.

i’m going to talk to my father about taking me to get a new birth certificate. i need a new one, because the dmv won’t accept it due to a few taped up rips and tears. i have no clue how to go about doing this, but hopefully i’ll have one before this year ends.

okay, i printed a form from the department of health, filled it out, put it in an envelope with $16, and now i just need a notary. jesus, this is more hassle-tastic than i thought it would be.

mine is old, crumbly and turning black. i guess that might mean that i am getting old. that’s okay.
