Get better at maths

So the deal is, this entire semester I actually HAVE been doing well in maths. My test scores (for both statics and mathematics) was above the class average, I was doing reasonably well on Weblearns (until i stopped doing them…) so naturally, I was feeling pretty confident with myself.

Then came the exam. Basically, I suck at exams and it didn’t help that this years exam was very different (in the statics department) than the last three years…bitch!!

So, overall I’ve done reasonably well in class work (very well in tests) but my exam skills let me down.

Shit shit shit

Ok, i suck at maths but will improve this semester at uni! How?

• Go to each and every lecture
• Keep up to date with the homework by:
  – completing tutorials with topics
  – completing Weblearn (online) tests when they are given
  – do relevant Qs from the text book
• Do well in class exercises
• Ask for help when I need it (ask teachers, tutors, students)
• Study for mid-sem test (and go well on it!)
• Do all previous exams during SWATVAC (not the night before…)
• Get ready for HD result =)
